2018 Accommodations

Students who require a place to stay while attending the Summer Institute for Teens can make their own arrangements or connect with our partnership with Liane’s Vancouver Homestay by visiting their website here.

Liane’s Vancouver Homestay finds accommodation for students with English-speaking Canadian families. Homestay includes your own room, access to television, telephone and laundry facilities.

Please Note: Accomodations for the summer months fill up very quickly and so we highly encourage parents and students to make their Homestay arrangements as soon students are registered in the program.

Liane’s Vancouver Homestay – Services for Students

  • Long & Short Term Placement
  • Airport Service
  • Counsel & Support
  • Custodian Letters for students under 19 years

Liane’s Vancouver Homestay – Important Tools for Students

Emily Carr University does not make housing arrangements on behalf of students, questions and inquiries should be sent directly to Liane’s Vancouver Homestay via email or by phone at 1-604-540-4434.

Other Options

Students from outside Vancouver can also make their own arrangements. Possible accommodation options include:

  • Staying with a family member or friend of the family
  • Short-term Housing (Air BnB, sublet, hotel stay) with a parent or guardian

Please keep in mind that students and their parents are responsible for the cost and safety of any arrangements they make independently of Emily Carr University. For some suggestions on where to begin your housing search, visit the Emily Carr University housing page.

Coming from Outside BC?

Summer Institute students from out of town can take advantage of our homestay option.
