Students who require a place to stay while attending the Summer Institute for Teens can make their own arrangements or take advantage of our homestay option.
Emily Carr University has partnered with Langara College to provide students with the option of staying with a local family. Through the Langara homestay program, students are matched with a Vancouver family for the duration of the Institute. While living in homestay, students have their own bedroom, enjoy three meals a day and are treated like an extended member of their host family. Homestay is a unique way to discover the diverse and vibrant city of Vancouver with some comforts of home.
Please visit the Langara website for more details about the homestay program and contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions regarding the homestay for Summer Institute students. The deadline for homestay bookings is May 15, 2017.
Students from outside Vancouver can also make their own arrangements. Possible accommodation options include:
- Staying with a family member or friend of the family
- Short-term Housing (Air BnB, sublet, hotel stay) with a parent or guardian
Please keep in mind that students and their parents are responsible for the cost and safety of any arrangements they make independently of Emily Carr University. For some suggestions on where to begin your housing search, visit the Emily Carr University housing page.
